Love Letters: A Textile Workshop with Elaine O’Neil and Ali Givens
Saturday Feb 8 2020, 10am to 4pm
Fee: $325 To register:
Two friends come together to teach you how to compose and create your own art quilt using letters as inspiration. We have all saved important letters from our lives —memories of people, places, and experiences. Handwritten letters connect us in a very extraordinary way to the people who wrote them. With two very distinctive styles in textile design, each instructor offers a unique way to help you find your own voice. We will transfer your letters to fabric to incorporate them in each piece. You will leave the workshop with an original work of art created by your own hands but guided by ours. Let's great together! Participation limited to 12.
Join one of my workshops and share the entire day talking textiles and art! I lead two different workshops here in my studio. Would you like to work beside me as I teach my process, sharing tips, and knowledge? Studio 224 bursts with natural light and colorful textiles. Located at the top of eight stairs in historical West Hillsborough, Elaine’s studio was originally a church supper house where meals were prepared and shared. She carries on the hospitality by opening her space for this hands-on workshop and light refreshments.
